The Sons of The American Legion is a program of The American Legion and was formed on September 12–15, 1932, during the 14th National Convention of The American Legion.

Squadron 86 was chartered and attached to Henderson-Smith-Edmonds American Legion Post 86 in Indianapolis, Indiana on 16 November 1956.

Our motto is, “For God and Country.”
